Monster Support Group
A Halloween Murder Mystery
31st October | 6PM–11PM
Valletta Design Cluster - Hall
Up to 22 Players
Being a monster isn't what it used to be.
Humans don't scream at vampires anymore. They fall in love with them.
Witches have become influencers. Zombies are everywhere. Haunted houses are entertainment. Werewolves? Apparently they're just angry puppies.
Times are tough for creatures of the night.
That's why you've been invited to M.A.C.A.B.R.E. — Monsters Adjusting to Contemporary Anxiety, Branding & Reduced Effectiveness — a support programme dedicated to helping struggling monsters rediscover their purpose, rebuild their confidence and, most importantly, become terrifying again.
Under the guidance of the relentlessly optimistic Dr. Theodore Graves, tonight's Monster Support Group promises breakthroughs, personal growth and some deeply questionable therapeutic exercises.
Then Dr. Graves makes an announcement.
One monster has successfully completed rehabilitation and will receive the prestigious title of Official Monster of Halloween.
The others?
They're being retired.
Naturally, everyone handles this information in a mature and emotionally healthy way.
Until the lights go out.
When they come back on...
Dr. Graves is dead.
And here's the problem:
Almost everyone in the room tried to kill him.
Someone poisoned him. Someone cursed him. Someone attacked him. Someone electrocuted something they definitely shouldn't have. And at least one monster is being suspiciously quiet about what they were doing when the lights went out.
But which one actually killed him?
And perhaps more importantly...
What was Dr. Graves really doing with all of you?

The Characters:
Welcome to M.A.C.A.B.R.E. — Monsters Adjusting to Contemporary Anxiety, Branding & Reduced Effectiveness.
Being a monster isn't easy anymore. Fear is out of fashion, humans are increasingly difficult to impress, and centuries of terrifying reputations are being ruined by modern society.
Meet the 22 unfortunate creatures attending tonight's rehabilitation programme. Each has their own personality, problems, and reasons for needing a little professional help.
Which monster will you become?
1. Count Valerian Vex — The Vampire
Once the most feared predator of the night, Valerian now struggles with humans who find vampires more attractive than terrifying. His dignity is suffering, and his patience is running dangerously thin.
2. Wolfgang Howler — The Werewolf
Wolfgang has been attending anger management for years. Unfortunately, full moons, loud noises, and people calling him a good boy continue to interfere with his progress.
3. Morgana Hexworth — The Witch
Centuries of forbidden magic, only to discover that teenagers on social media are selling spells for €9.99. Morgana has strong opinions about modern witchcraft and even stronger opinions about everyone else.
4. Victor Stitch — The Reanimated Creation
Built from spare parts and questionable scientific decisions, Victor simply wants to be accepted. Unfortunately, his attempts at making friends usually end with something catching fire.
5. Lady Evelyn Hollow — The Ghost
Evelyn has haunted the same mansion for 200 years. Unfortunately, the building has become a luxury holiday rental, and guests keep complimenting its immersive atmosphere.
6. Pharaoh Amenhotep the Unrested — The Mummy
An ancient ruler who demanded eternal respect, Amenhotep is now primarily known as a museum attraction. He's particularly offended by children tapping on his sarcophagus.
7. Lucien Brimstone — The Demon
Once responsible for tempting mortals into eternal damnation, Lucien has discovered that humans are perfectly capable of making terrible decisions without supernatural assistance.
8. Dolly Dreadful — The Possessed Doll
Dolly insists she's perfectly harmless. Her previous owners, the local police, and several missing pets would probably disagree.
9. Mortimer Gravesend — The Grim Reaper
Death is exhausted. People keep cheating him, immortality is becoming fashionable, and nobody appreciates the paperwork involved in collecting souls.
10. Serena Blacktide — The Siren
Her voice once lured entire ships to their doom. Now she's struggling to compete with streaming services, noise-cancelling headphones, and questionable karaoke singers.
11. Sir Reginald Headless — The Headless Horseman
Being headless was once terrifying. Now everyone assumes it's an elaborate costume. To make matters worse, his horse has recently filed for separation.
12. Moira Wail — The Banshee
Her screams once foretold death. Unfortunately, she's been repeatedly mistaken for a neighbour having a particularly dramatic argument.
13. Cornelius Crowe — The Scarecrow
Designed to inspire terror, Cornelius has instead become a popular autumn decoration. He's beginning to suspect nobody takes him seriously.
14. Bernard Rotwell — The Zombie
Bernard is trying to embrace a healthier lifestyle. He's stopped eating brains, taken up mindfulness, and insists that decomposition is a perfectly natural process.
15. Mr. Underbed — The Bogeyman
Once the terror of children's bedrooms, Mr. Underbed now suffers from an unfortunate fear of children. He maintains that they're far more frightening than anything he could ever become.
16. Dr. Beatrice Volt — The Mad Scientist
Brilliant, eccentric, and permanently banned from several universities. Beatrice believes every problem can be solved through science, electricity, or a sufficiently large explosion.
17. Mossley Marsh — The Swamp Creature
Mossley has spent centuries lurking in murky waters. Unfortunately, environmental clean-up campaigns have left him homeless, and his distinctive smell makes socialising difficult.
18. Alex Anybody — The Shapeshifter
Alex can become anyone, anywhere, at any time. The problem? After centuries of impersonating others, Alex isn't entirely sure who they originally were.
19. Hunter Van Thorn — The Monster Hunter
Hunter claims to be a misunderstood supernatural creature. Nobody quite knows what kind, and the suspicious collection of silver weapons certainly isn't helping.
20. Seraphina Ash — The Fallen Angel
Cast out of paradise for reasons she refuses to discuss, Seraphina is attempting to rebuild her reputation. She finds the entire rehabilitation programme deeply insulting.
21. Maestro Nocturne — The Phantom
A musical genius who once terrified entire opera houses, Maestro has been reduced to haunting community theatre productions. He's still convinced the world has failed to appreciate his talent.
22. Madame Arachne Silk — The Spider Queen
Once the undisputed terror of dark corners and forgotten attics, Arachne has watched humanity become increasingly fascinated with spiders. Some people even keep them as pets! She's deeply offended by this development and insists that her eight-legged children deserve fear, not affection.
