D&D: The Dragon of Najkir
GM: Matt
System: D&D 2024
Time: 6pm
Player Count: 6
Location: Valletta Design Cluster
A ship has gone down near the remote island of Najkir, destroyed by the lightning breath of a bronze dragon that has recently begun attacking vessels that stray too close to its shores. A handful of survivors managed to reach the island alive, taking refuge at an isolated monastery there. Now, concerned friends have hired a group of adventurers to sail to Najkir, find the survivors, and bring them home safely.
Of course, nothing on Najkir is quite as simple as it first appears. The island’s dragon, Skalanthas, has a long and complicated history with the monastery, and there may be more behind the recent attacks than simple draconic aggression. The party will need to investigate what has happened, navigate the monastery and its inhabitants, and decide how best to deal with a situation where enemies, victims, and motives may not be as obvious as they seem.
This adventure is open to up to six players and offers a mix of exploration, investigation, roleplay, and danger. New and experienced players alike are welcome—but be warned: there is definitely a dragon, and it has already demonstrated that it is perfectly capable of sinking an entire ship. Come prepared to think carefully, work together, and perhaps decide whether every dragon problem really ought to be solved with a sword.
